Investing in your non-profit staff!

Talk The Talk and Walk The Walk

Non-profits and businesses often have the basic benefits that are called "great."

Having worked in different sizes of non-profits, they all said they had an

EXCELLENT BENEFITS PACKAGE!!

What did those benefits
look like?

Health Insurance
EAP (limited sessions)
Dental Insurance
Vision (maybe)
In-house training (maybe)
Reimbursement for
external training (big maybe)

Health insurance is a great benefit because it helps the employee not have to pay $4,000 - $6,000 out of their pocket every year.

AND

Health insurance still has its limits in what it covers that includes therapy, and it might not even cover holistic care because it needs to be "medically necessary".

I have a feeling that this might feel like a call out and, to be honest, it is a call out to the system itself.

Non-profits have to fight for every penny they get and they might even have to stretch that penny.

And depending on the funding/grant, it might only last for a certain amount of time.
